Christchurch Airport to the city

Christchurch Airport is about 14 km from our motel. The easiest way in is the Route 29 bus: it stops a 1-minute walk from our door, takes about 30 minutes, and costs $3 with a bank card.

  • Where to catch it: at the northern end of the International Arrivals hall, next to the Novotel. The walk from baggage claim is mostly under cover.
  • How often: about every 30 minutes for most of the day, from early in the morning until about 10pm or later.
  • How long: about 30 minutes to the city.
  • Where to get off for the motel: the stop on Salisbury Street near Gracefield Avenue. We are around the corner, a 1-minute walk.
