He Puna Taimoana is a hot pool complex on the beach at New Brighton, beside New Brighton Pier. It has five heated pools, a plunge pool, a sauna, a steam room and a café, and it is about 14 minutes by car from our motel.

Opening hours and sessions
Open every day from 10am, with late nights on Thursday and Friday. Sessions are 2 hours long:
- 10am to 12pm
- 12.30pm to 2.30pm
- 3pm to 5pm
- 5.30pm to 7.30pm

Walk out over the sea on New Brighton Pier, next to the pools, and along New Brighton beach.
